Avalon Health Care Provides Nurse Aide Training to Utah National Guard

February 1, 2022

Avalon Health Care, a provider of post-acute care and rehabilitation services, conducted 2-day training for members of the Utah National Guard so that it can provide staffing support to long-term care providers around the state in need of assistance. The training is a joint effort between the Utah Department of Health and Avalon to provide nursing-aide-related duties under the general supervision of a licensed nurse at care facilities in the state of Utah.

“We were honored to get the call from the Department of Health seeking assistance with training the National Guard to care for nursing home residents,” said Brian Gross, Vice President of Operations, Utah. “Avalon operates sixteen Skilled Nursing facilities in the state, four of which are State Veterans Homes. We are sensitive to the immediate needs of veterans and vulnerable patients and are proud to serve in this capacity.”
