Our Story
AVALON CARE CENTER – FEDERAL WAY is the region’s premier skilled nursing facility specializing in short-term rehabilitation. We are conveniently located along the corridor of one of the largest collections of health care resources in the Western United States. Our care team is led by a dedicated on-site physician and nurse practitioner in close collaboration with nurses, therapists and other care experts.
Our approach puts people first and is founded on the principles that recognize the worth of every individual. Our heart for healing is built on the idea that caring and compassion can work hand-in-hand and that it’s ok to laugh and have fun along the way.
“ We had our family member transferred here in early February for hospice care, a transfer which Avalon Federal Way made quickly and efficiently. From the first encounter with administration, CNA/nursing/ med tech staff, maintenance, front desk people- (all the staff for that matter), it was clear that this was the best choice for our loved one. I even took the opportunity to ask some of the residents over time how they felt their stay was, and it was nothing but positive. This place has a different feel than most of the care centers I have been in, and Ive been to many over the years. Staff is professional, attentive to detail, friendly and its clean. They worked very well with MultiCare who managed his hospice care . Multicare Hospice was also excellent. At times, our loved one was not the easiest paitent , and they handled him with kindness and respect. I have no complaints with his stay from beginning to end.
