Appreciation for Service Through Premiere Care

It is said that a nation’s gratitude is measured by the way its people honor their defenders. To defend the Constitution, serve in harm’s way, and bear the cost of freedom for all is a sacrifice worthy of active gratitude. In everything we do here at Northern Nevada State Veterans Home, we strive to honor and serve our nation’s aging Veterans, as they have honored us through their service and sacrifice.

Northern Nevada State Veterans Home offers more than just 24-hour nursing care, we cater to both the physical and emotional health of our residents and patients. Our care teams work together to create personalized treatment plans to help patients through their care journey. We strive to provide industry-leading outcomes through coordination of all aspects of your care.

Managing Veterans Care

At the Northern Nevada State Veterans Home, we recognize that managing your care is as important as providing it. That’s why we have care teams trained to assist in coordinating your transition from the hospital to our community. Once you arrive, our team will work closely with you to plan your care and answer any questions.

INSURANCE/MANAGED CARE
Navigating insurance plans can be tricky—and we are here to help! Our dedicated case managers will work closely with you to make sure you understand your specific plan and coverage. They will also work with you to plan the duration and goals of your stay as well as coordinate your transition home.

COMMUNICATION
A physician will oversee your care and is available to the nursing staff should questions or concerns arise. While you may be used to a physician stopping by your room each day during your hospital stay, our nurses will fill that role during your stay and will keep your doctor apprised of your condition.

TRANSITION
We believe a safe journey home begins the moment you arrive. Our award-winning Keep Me Home Plan is designed to coordinate your care and help ensure you get home safely…and stay there!
