Carl Hugie is the Regional Vice President for Veteran Homes supported by Avalon Health Care. Carl graduated from Weber State University with an Associate Degree in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse shortly thereafter. His twenty-two-year career in the healthcare industry has been mostly spent working for Avalon Health Care. During that time, he continued his education, receiving both a Bachelor’s degree, as well as a Master’s Degree in Nursing. His career in healthcare has taken him from the bedside as a Certified Nursing Assistant to Registered Nurse, Medicare Case Manager, Assistant Director of Nursing, and Director of Nursing. Carl also received his license as a Health Facility Administrator in 2009. During his tenure, he has always focused on ensuring the patients entrusted to him received the highest level of quality care he could provide them. Carl has spent the past thirteen years providing care for our Nation’s Heroes, giving back to the Veterans of our Country who have sacrificed so much for us. Carl is married to his wife Amy and is a father to three boys. They live in Willard, Utah, and enjoy all water sports, watching football, and spending time with family.
